Darren Elias Hosts Record-Breaking Weekend at Daytona Beach Card Club

It was a true poker bash at the beach when Darren Elias hosted a record-breaking weekend at the Daytona Beach Card Club this month. The 4x WPT Champion was featured in Daytona Beach’s first-ever high stakes $10/$25 NLH cash game livestream during a big tournament weekend for the property.

Darren also ran a VIP poker bootcamp for a select group of Daytona Beach and Orange City Card Club players. In this session, Darren played a clip of one his favorite cash game hands and then broke down the decison-making process for each of the attendees. He also offered strategic advice on how to approach the weekend’s featured $200K GAPT tournament.

The feature tournament blew away its guarantee finishing close to a $400K prize pool with almost 1,300 entrants. It shattered the previous record for Daytona Beach Card Club that occurred during the last Above the Felt collaboration with Jamie Kerstetter.

To cap off the weekend, Darren Elias and Tom Wheaton provided commentary on the live stream final table. It was fast and furious gameplay with informative and entertaining banter between the two hosts. In the end, the first place $69K prize was awarded to Central Florida player Ashraf Chehata.
